It takes a village to educate the next generations. The Jesuits of Zambia-Malawi Province have partnered with the following organizations and to ensure the success and sustainability of Loyola Jesuit Secondary School.
We are working in full cooperation with the Ministry of Education in Malawi in the running of Loyola Jesuit, which means the government will provide salaries for the teachers and some support staff, enabling the school to be run in a cost-effective manner. By following a government-approved syllabus, our graduating students will qualify for colleges and universities.
Because Loyola Jesuit will be a “grant-aided” school, run in cooperation with the Government of Malawi. much lower fees will be charged than at a private school, making education more widely available to all.
The Jesuits are working in close cooperation with the Episcopal Conference of Malawi, and through the Archdiocese of Lilongwe. A representative of the Archbishop, Msgr. Sonkhani, played a principal role in our Groundbreaking Ceremony on Friday 21 September 2012.
